Bought the whirlpool Oven/Microwave combo unit a month ago. Installation was quick and easy. So far the unit has performed well and looks great.

I purchased a new home and this was the upgraded oven/microwave that I received. I have never owned an oven or microwave that makes so much noise. I am very unhappy with this product. We were thrilled that it was an American Made product, that apparently did not mean much in my opinion.

metallic paint falls off into the food!

We bought a Whirlpool 4.3 cu.ft. combo oven on April 29, 2016, and first used it this Thanksgiving to cook a small turkey at 400°. Three days later I used the SteamClean function, following all instructions in the manual closely. After it was cool I wiped the oven's inside with a wet cloth, as suggested, and found that dozens of fine chips of metallic paint immediately came off on the cloth. After I complained about this, Whirlpool duly sent a technician. When examining the damage, he advised me not to use the SteamClean function anymore, as it was causing the problem, and furthermore could easily blow a fuse in the oven. His inspection report was sent to Whirlpool, who told me the problem was "cosmetic" and so not covered by the warranty; in other words, if I wanted to have them "fix it" I would have to pay for that "service"-to put new paint in a new oven! The "customer service" person refused to accept that having paint fall into our food was in any way dangerous, although I explained this twice. Her last word was that the problem is just "cosmetic"-but it means we dare not use the oven for fear of food poisoning, and after just one use! Evidently the staff don't know that the word "cosmetic" would refer to a flaw on the surface which affects the appearance only. But in our case it is something quite different: if we were to use the oven again it is quite likely that more metallic paint will fall off other areas and drop into the food, especially as the convection feature will blow the metallic paint chips all over the place. This oven has a dangerous defect which they must already know about; but the company has refused to replace it. Talk about "customer service"! Clearly, we should have bought a Bosch!

Poor temperature control will ruin your baking

Absolute American junk designed by bean counters. Oven temperature is all over the road, you need an oil filled thermometer to set an arbitrary number on the oven. Our oven averages 25 - 30° too hot. Try ruining your expensive ingredients as The shelves bake differently as does the left and right sides. Loud. Just junk. A thermostat is not that difficult to build. Except in cheap junk. Everyone in this new neighborhood gets this junk from the builder. A pot luck dinner yesterday, everyone's baked pans had a bottom burned on layer.

Sleek look-love the oven

Very sleek looking and easy to clean. The oven seems to have an even temperature and controls are easy to use. The microwave seems a little less powerful than my old one, but is easy to clean, and I like them both overall.
